Iran Mulls Tenders for N. Power Plants

A01461135.jpgTEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iran intends to issue an international tender for the construction of 19 nuclear power plants.

This comes a week after Russia said it had begun fuel deliveries to the Islamic Republic’s first such facility.

According to an Iranian lawmaker each plant will have a capacity of a 1000 megawatts in line with the parliamentary legislation that calls for production of 20,000 megawatts of electricity by 2020.

Iran however has not announced any time frame.
