In a meeting with the President of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of North Korea, Kim Yong Nam on Monday, Moradian submitted a copy of his credentials and expressed hope that ties between Tehran and Pyongyang would receive a boost during his tenure, press tv said.

The North Korean official, for his part, praised resistance of the Iranian government and nation against the global arrogance, saying that the enemies’ efforts to put pressure on independence-seeking countries are a form of psychological warfare doomed to failure.

The US pressure on Iran was proof of rightness of Tehran’s policies in the regional and international arenas, he added.

Expressing his country’s readiness to boost cooperation with Iran, Kim called for more contacts between the officials of the two countries in all sectors, particularly in the areas of trade, culture and sports.
