According to a report by the Foreign Ministry’s Information and Press Bureau, Mottaki made the remarks in a meeting with Indonesia’s new ambassador to Tehran.

Mottaki noted Iran’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and stressed, “The United Nations Security Council should show pragmatic power and courage and prevent unilateral pressures (exerted) by some countries against the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Elsewhere during the same meeting, Mottaki noted Iran-Indonesia bilateral ties, and stressed Tehran’s eagerness to expand all-out and comprehensive relations with Jakarta, specially in such areas as trade and joint ventures.

He further noted the upcoming meeting of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), describing the event as an important meeting to be held at a sensitive juncture.

“The world of Islam should give out a clear message about Islamic values and sanctities during this summit so that those whose interests are attained through hatred and violence would not dare insulting Islamic sanctities,” the minister reiterated.

For his part, the Indonesian envoy said that his mission in Tehran is aimed at an expansion of all-out ties between the two states, and emphasized on the deepening of friendly bonds between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Indonesia.
