Iran Sends Back 23 Pakistanis

A02976674.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- Iran has sent back 23 Pakistanis after freeing them from the clutches of a human smugglers’ gang, Islamabad’s FIA Director General Tariq Pervaiz Khan said Thursday.

Talking to a private TV channel, he said these people including men, women and children already entered the Pakistani territory would reach their homes within two days.

The FIA has arrested the gang leader who was responsible for detaining of 36 Pakistanis in Iran. Rest of the gang members in Iran and Pakistan would be arrested soon. Cases would be registered after completion of investigations.

Talking to another TV channel, he said Pakistanis normally travel through Iran to go to Europe via Turkey. But this is a different case as these poor people were smuggled across the border for working as bonded laborers. They were working at a farm.
