TEHRAN (FNA)- At least a dozen tremors jolted parts of eastern Iran on Sunday.
The biggest of the tremors measuring 5.1 on the Richer scale struck near the city of Birjand, Southern Khorrasan Province, at approximately 07:20 am local time (0350 GMT).
The main quake, which was followed by at least 12 aftershocks ranging from 2 to 3.2 degrees on the Richter scale, left some minor structural damages.
Elsewhere an earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale struck east of the central city of Yazd at 05:55 local time (0225GMT).
There have yet been no reports on the possible number of casualties or damage to properties by the tremor in Yazd.
