Rahmon Lauds Iran’s Role in Tajik Development

A00237923.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on Tuesday lauded Iran’s positive role in the development of his country.

He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has particularly assisted Tajikistan in its tunnel and dam construction projects.

Referring to his country’s relations with several world countries, he said promotion of bilateral ties with Arab and Islamic states enjoys a priority in Tajik foreign policy.

The Tajik president is to attend the summit meeting of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) to be held in Dakar, Senegal, on March 13-14.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is also to attend the summit.
