Makers of portraits have found the way for the Russians who still cannot decide whether to take Putin’s portrait off the walls in their offices or not. Novy Region (“New Region”) reported that combined portraits of Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev have been brought to a number of bookstores in Yekaterinburg. A photo of the heads of the state in a frame costs about 500 rubles (equals to about $ 20.8). The salespersons admit that this merchandize is sold faster than lone portraits of Medvedev or Putin. (By the way, the demand for Putin’s portraits somewhat dropped after he left the presidential post).Â
