Karadzic asks for more time to study war crimes case

THE HAGUE (Reuters) – Former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic said he would like more time to study genocide charges against him before entering a plea, when he appeared in court for the first time on Thursday.

Under court rules he is allowed 30 days to decide how to plead. If he refuses to enter a plea then, a plea of ‘not guilty’ is entered for him.
