Georgian operation to go on until “durable peace”: PM

TBILISI (Reuters) – Georgia will continue its military operation in the breakaway region of South Ossetia until a “durable peace” is reached, Prime Minister Lado Gurgenidze said on Friday.

“These actions will continue until we manage to reach a durable peace because people are still in danger,” he told a news briefing. “As soon as a durable peace takes hold we need to move forward with dialogue and peaceful negotiations.”
