Sassanid Structures Discovered in Western Iran

A03444644.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian archeologists have discovered evidence of Sassanid and Islamic human establishments in the country’s western province of Ilam.

Excavating the historical site of Bakheh Nam, archeologists found pottery kilns and earthenware dating back to the Sassanid era.

“Findings show that people lived in communities and worked in pottery workshops,” director of Bakheh Nam archeology team, Bayan Pirani was quoted by press tv as saying.

Bakheh Nam was situated at the crossroads to the great trade centers of the world.
