Afghanistan Reiterates Alliance with Iran, Tajikistan

A00886388.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- Afghan Foreign Minister Rangin Spanta stressed that his country would continue economic, cultural, political and regional cooperation with Iran and Tajikistan.

Speaking at a press conference in the Tajik capital Dushanbe, Spanta said that the three countries had agreed to continue cooperating with each other on issues of mutual interest, including campaign against drug smuggling and “terrorism”.

The foreign ministers from the three countries also agreed in principle to a television channel that would for the first time feature programs and news from all three countries.

The station would be based in Dushanbe, Spanta said.

The foreign ministers also discussed building roads and railways between the three countries.
