Iranian FM Visits Georgia

A02390685.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki paid a visit to Tbilisi to discuss peace and security in the Caucasus with the Georgian officials.

During the visit, Mottaki met with Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili and his counterpart Ekaterina Tkeshelashvili.

Before his visit to Tbilisi, the Iranian foreign minister visited Russia, Azerbaijan and Germany, and yesterday he returned to Tehran to attend a meeting with his Armenian counterpart Eduard Nalbyandyan.

Mottaki said that his diplomatic efforts over the recent days contributed to peace and stability in the Caucasus region after the war broke out in Georgia.
