Iranian Director Wins Goteborg Fund

A03105114.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian director Mona Zandi’s Bride received the Goteborg Film Festival Fund at the closing of the 11th Pusan Promotion Plan (PPP).

The 2,100-dolar award is designed to support the selected filmmaker’s traveling and accommodation costs.

Zandi’s Bride recounts the story of a Palestinian couple’s wedding ceremony, which is interrupted by the Israeli soldiers’ attack.

PPP was launched in 1998 during the 3rd Pusan International Film Festival to introduce talented Asian filmmakers and offer investment and co-production opportunities to film industry professionals, press tv reported.

The 11th Pusan Promotion Plan (PPP) was held from Oct. 3 to 6, 2008.
