TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said it is evident that Washington’s delusion of global hegemony has finally come to an end.
For years the world has been struggling against the efforts of a small group of people to impose their will on mankind, but it is clear that the Iranian nation is opposed to this trend, Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday in a TV interview.
He also invited the next US administration to take note of Iran’s endeavors to promote ethical and moral behavior.
“The myth of US hegemony no longer exists and the time has come for the global powers to rectify their negative stance toward Iran in order to survive in the international community,” he added.
Ahmadinejad said his recent visit to the United States provided an opportunity to reach out to the American people and exchange views for the second time since his speech last year at Columbia University, press tv reported.
The Iranian president also described his meeting with a group of anti-war activists in the US, who told him that “the American people should not be judged by the US government” because they have no influence on the decisions taken by the administration.
