The expo will be held in three phases in the city of Guangzhou. The first phase will be held from October 15 to 19, the second phase from October 24 to 28, and the third phase from November 2 to 6.

Large and small machinery, chemical products, household electrical appliances, lighting equipment, and building material will be displayed in the first phase.

The Canton Fair, the world’s biggest import/export expo, is held every spring and autumn.

The organizing committee of the Canton Fair has relaxed the application procedures for next week’s event after companies were inconvenienced by tougher measures instituted earlier this year due to the Olympics, China Daily reported.

Prospective exhibitors are no longer required to produce documentation proving they do not have criminal records when applying to attend the 104th session, as they were told to do ahead of the 103rd edition in April.
