TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Foreign Ministry on Sunday summoned the British ambassador, Jeffrey Adams, to protest over the release of Fozi Badavinejad, the ringleader of a group which attacked Iran’s embassy in London in 1980 and killed two Iranian diplomats.
This act is “condemnable and indefensible,” Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for European Affairs Mahdi Safari told the British diplomat.
Safari said the release of this terrorist along with an earlier move by London to remove the Mujahedin Khalq Organization from terror blacklist has raised “serious questions about the sincerity” of Britain in its relations with Iran.
Safari called on Britain to reverse its decision and extradite Fozi Badavinejad to Iran, Tehran Times reported.
