Bosnian Held in Croatian Car Bomb Probe

Sarajevo – A man was arrested in northwestern Bosnia in relation to last week’s assassination of Croatian newspaper editor Ivo Pukanic and his marketing chief, Niko Franjic.

A 35-year old man, identified only by his initials H.E. was detained on Thursday and is currently being processed at the court in Bihac, local media reported on Friday. The police in the bigger Bosnian entity of the Federation – which carried out the arrest – has also found and seized explosives in the man’s house.

In addition to this arrest, local police forces both in the Federation and the other entity of Republika Srpska, have been keeping daily communication and cooperation with Croatian investigators related to last week’s car-bombing assassination of Nacional weekly chief, Pukanic and Franjic.

Over the past few days Croatian police have arrested ten people suspected to be involved in the murders.
