GAZA, Nov. 4 – Mohammed al-Dief, the chief of Hamas’ armed wing Ezz el-Deen al-Qassam Brigades, vowed Tuesday to carry out attacks against Israel. In a prerecorded audio message, Al-Dief said in northern Gaza Strip that “we will continue striking the occupation (Israel) and its positions with qualitative operations.”
“We are people who know the sitting down or the taste of relax only in the paradise, but in this world, we fight and fight until scoring victory or die,” al-Dief added.
“We are the determination of God which he put in this holy land to chase down his enemies; the Zionists,” he continued.
Since announcing the six-month ceasefire in June 2008, Hamas halted cross-border violence out of the Gaza Strip that it controls.
The ceasefire is designated to ease the blockade, which Israel placed after Hamas seized control of the Gaza Strip, in exchange for calmness. But Hamas accuses Israel of not opening the commercial crossings properly.
