TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran and Turkey should take common measures in borders to eliminate elements that threaten security of both countries, a Turkish provincial official said.
Ozdemir Cakacak, governor of Turkey’s eastern province of Van, said on Tuesday that Turkey and Iran should take common measures in borders to eliminate elements that threaten security of both countries.
Governor’s Office released a statement after 46th Turkey-Iran Sub Security Committee meeting.
According to the statement, Van Governor Cakacak said Turkish-Iranian relations improved within the scope of goodwill.
“We aim to prevent illegal passages and smuggling by boosting trade,” he added.
Iranian delegation is expected to depart from Turkey on Wednesday.
