Over 7,000 participants from India along with as many as 38 countries are expected to show their goods during 15 days fair on Nov. 14-27.

The Iranian participation came after Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki earlier this month urged Iran and India to envisage modern ties.

In an Iran-India joint economic commission meeting, which was wrapped up on Nov. 3 and attended by visiting Indian Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Mottaki expressed hope for further expansion of trade, economic and industrial relations between the two nations.

The trade volume between Iran and India has reached 9.3 billion US dollars and India is one of Iran’s main trade partners, said Mottaki.
