TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian archeologists unearthed an important prehistoric mound dating back to between 3000 and 4000 BC near the central city of Isfahan.
The hill bears evidence of the influence of prehistoric civilizations that developed in other parts of the nation like Sialk in Kashan and Marvdasht in Fars as well as many parts in Khuzestan province.
Press tv quoted a member of the archaeological team as saying that the site has been ransacked by looters and many parts of this important hill is destroyed but what remains can still provide significant information regarding the rich culture that thrived in this part of the country thousands of years ago.
