TEHRAN (FNA)- The militants who abducted and killed police forces in southeastern Iran will receive a “massive retaliation” by the Islamic Republic, an official said.
“Iran will give a crushing response to the militants in the border areas,” Iran’s Prosecutor General Qorban Ali Dorri Najafabadi said, press tv reported.
Iran’s Deputy Police Chief Ahmad Reza Radan declared on Friday that all 16 police forces who were kidnapped in the southeastern city of Saravan on June 12 by the Jundullah (Soldiers of God) terrorist group have been killed.
He also sympathized with those families whose beloved ones were abducted and killed by terrorists.
Najafabadi stressed that security will not be established in Iran, Pakistan and neighboring countries, unless terrorist groups in border areas are demolished.
Iran’s prosecutor general also urged Pakistan to adopt a tougher stance on the militant groups.
Jundullah is a terrorist group that operates in Iran’s Sistan-Baluchestan Province and Pakistan’s Balochistan and has carried numerous attacks against Iran.
