TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran’s current crude production stands between 4.05-4.08 million barrels a day, Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Company Seifollah Jashnsaz said on Saturday.
He told a press conference that the amount is based on the decisions made by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries to reduce oil production as of November 1, 2008.
According to the Islamic republic news agency, Jashnsaz said that Iran’s capacity to produce crude in the current year has reached 4,230,000 barrels a day, expressing hope that the figure would reach 4,300,000 bpd by the year end.
Iran’s average crude exports has been 2,350,000 barrels a day since the beginning of the current Iranian year, started March 21, 2008, the NIOC chief said.
He added that Iran has so far earned some dlrs 61 billion from selling crude in the current year.
Jashnsaz also said that the Iranian gas output capacity is 580 million cubic meters.
