Five parties will gather enough votes to jump over the 4% entry bar for the Bulgarian Parliament at the elections this summer, a Sova Haris survey reveals Friday.
The five are Sofia Mayor’s GERB party, the Bulgarian Socialist Party, the Ethnic Turkish dominated Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS), far right nationalists ATAKA as well as rightist party Union of democratic Forces (SDS).
GERB is most likely to win the elections by gathering 38% of the votes, followed by BSP with 26%. SDS jumps over the bar with merely 4%.
Forty eight of the participants in the survey expect GERB to form a coalition government, 24% believe it will be with SDS, while two thirds also add DPS to the combination. Only 12% think a coalition with the socialist is possible.
