Lithuania to withdraw troops from KFOR

PRISTINA, Kosovo – Lithuania wants to withdraw its small military component from Kosovo, local media reported on Wednesday (March 25th). Vilnius cites the stable security situation in the country and the strain of the global economic crisis.

The news came only days after Spain announced plans to withdraw its 600 troops from KFOR.

In other news, the United Kingdom warned on Wednesday that it may reduce its staff in the EULEX mission in Kosovo, due to the financial crisis.
