Romanian main opposition parties on Monday submitted a motion against the ruling coalition demanding the resignation of the government due of its “poor economic results”.
The Liberal Party (PNL) and Party of ethnic Hungarians in Romania (UDMR) say that the government has failed to take adequate measures in order shield the country from an unprecedented economic downturn.
The motion will be debated on Wednesday on the Parliament.
The government is made up of a coalition between the center right democrats and leftist Social Democratic Party.
In late March, Romania reached an agreement with major international lenders for a €20 billion loan designed to finance the country’s budget and current-account deficits
