Vidin. Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev visited Thursday the construction site of the second bridge over the Danube River between Bulgaria and Romania, FOCUS Radio-Vidin informs.
PM announced construction was delayed for while at the beginning but situation with every big and important project is the same.
He pointed the delay had been considered during several meetings of the Council of Ministers.
Ministry of Transport had taken measures to lend support to Romanian partners. The rest of the funds will be provided under ISPA program and different donative organizations.
It became clear after talks with construction companies they will start putting pylons in deepest part of the Danube River in Romania’s direction on July 1,” PM said further. He added he did not expect implementation of the project to be delayed or EC funds to be suspended.
