There are no reasons for Belarus to recognize Abkhazia’s and South Ossetia’s independence, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at a briefing today.
She added that she does want to forestall events, but relations between Belarussia and Georgia are developing well on all levels.
Kalandadze said there is no threat that Belarus will recognize the two breakaway regions despite Russia pressuring Minsk.
“Russia is pressuring not only Belarus, but all countries over which it has influence,” the deputy minister said.
