PACE, European Parliament to help moldovan legislature in decision taking

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the European Parliament will render assistance to the Moldovan legislative forum to help make more efficient the work of the Parliament’s apparatus and the forum’s standing committees at decision-making.

It was stated by PACE Secretariat experts William Hendrik de Beaufort and Olga Kostenko during their meeting with Moldovan Parliament Speaker Mihai Ghimpu here on Tuesday.

The assistance project will be implemented by the PACE jointly with the European Parliament to help promote parliamentary democracy in Moldova.

Mihai Ghimpu asked PACE’s assistance in organizing trainings and seminars for Moldovan lawmakers, in organizing courses of English, French and German, and in providing the Moldovan Parliament with up-to-date equipment.
