Lifting blockades at border checkpoints is expected as early as beginning Feb: Lachezar Ivanov

Lifting blockades along border checkpoints could be expected as early as beginning of February. Unfortunately I couldn’t give more optimistic prognosis. This is what interim Bulgarian Consul General to Thessaloniki Lachezar Ivanov declared.

“Greek government and especially the Minister of Agriculture and Foods stated their readiness for dialing and solving the issue due to talks, not forcibly. Unfortunately Greek Prime Minister paid attention to the fact that the adopted 2010 state budget doesn’t have many financial opportunities and instruments for the government for meeting the demands of the farmers”, Ivanov stated.
