Moldova: Name of official language not included in the bill on new Constitution

Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament and acting President Mihai Ghimpu worked out bill on the Constitution of the country. The bill envisages 30 new units to be included in the main act and amendments to the other 70.

According to Ghimpu the new constitution does not include fundamental units as sovereign, territorial entirety and human rights. The name of the official language, which is written as Moldovan in the present Constitution, is not included in the bill on new one.

Mihai Ghimpu emphasized the scientists do not doubt the fact Moldovans are speaking is Romanian.
