US Ambassador to Bulgaria: Missile Shield Will Be Discussed in Bulgaria

The US Ambassador to Bulgaria, James Warlick, has stated that the US missile shield will be discussed in Bulgaria over the coming years.

“This is a very early stage of a process that will be discussed in NATO, Europe and Bulgaria in the coming years,” Warlick stated regarding the missile shield. He added that the deployment of the shield was only focusing on threats from the Middle East and not in any way Russia.

Warlick also continued his attack on the Bulgarian judicial system, saying that as in the US there should be a system to check whether Bulgarian judges are qualified for their positions.

Warlick concluded that if it was up to him Bulgarians would not need visas to travel to the US but said that the current system which means that they only have to visit the Embassy once to get a US visa is a step in the right direction.
