Georgia to hold event on 92-nd anniversary of Azerbaijani Democratic Republic

The Congress of Georgian Azerbaijanis will hold activities to celebrate May 28 – 92-nd anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and May 26 – Independence Day of Georgia, the Congress said.

Before the event, wreaths will be laid to the bust of national leader Heydar Aliyev and the monument to the independence of Georgia.

Representatives of the Congress will visit graves of members of Azerbaijani intelligentsia Mirza Fatali Akhundzade, Mirza Shafi Vazeh and Fatali Khan Khoysky who played an important role in establishing the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.

Representatives of foreign embassies in Georgia, Georgian and Azerbaijani intellectuals, scientists will participate in the events.
