Ukraine’s President Victor Yanukovych said Friday at the press conference, marking his 100 days at the presidential office, that he refuses to recognize independence of Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Kosovo.
“I never recognized Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Kosovo as independent states. This violates the international laws and norms,” he said.
“I have never recognized the decision on Kosovo and when the decision on Kosovo was passed and the policy of double standards was applied, I said: “Why don’t we recognize Abkhazia and South Ossetia, if we have recognized Kosovo?”, said the president.
