Macedonian Prime Minister, met with Greek counterpart in Istanbul

Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski met his Greek counterpart George Papandreou on the sidelines of the Southeast European Cooperation Process (SEECP) Summit in Istanbul, government sources told Makfax news agency.

The meeting was short and took place during the working lunch of the participants in the summit.

The two prime ministers reiterated their countries readiness to solve name issue. They pointed out that solving name issue would be crucial for EU integration of the countries in the region, the government said.

PM Gruevski is likely to meet his Greek counterpart George Papandreou next week, Greek diplomatic sources said.

This has been a second meeting between the two prime ministers in just one week. They had their fifth meeting in Brussels on the sidelines of EU Council meeting.
