Romania not to recognize Kosovo

Romania will not recognize Kosovo’s independence despite the ruling of the International Court of Justice in The Hague, Romanian Ministry of Interior announces.

“The ministry confirms Romania’s position of the last years. Romania does not recognize Kosovo as independent state,” the official statement reads.

The statement also points out that court’s ruling states that the international law has not been violated but does not account the juridical consequences of this act. Romanian called Belgrade and Pristina to resume the dialog and find solution to open issues.
