Cypriot President Demetris Christofias and Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu presented their positions regarding the property issue in ongoing talks to reunify the divided island Friday (September 3rd) These were oral presentations, and involved no written documents. Friday’s round marked the opening of a third year of talks. The pair meets again Tuesday and Friday of this week. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s special adviser on Cyprus, Alexander Downer, says he is looking forward to this week’s discussions.
