President of the Danish parliament Thor Pedersen said in Belgrade on Monday that Denmark fully supports Serbia’s efforts to become a member of the EU.
Addressing journalists at the Serbian National Assembly building, after the signing of the Agreement on inter-parliamentary cooperation between Serbia and Denmark, Pedersen said that he is satisfied with the progress Serbia has made on its EU pathway, of which his counterpart Slavica Đukić-Dejanović had informed him.
The Danish parliament speaker underlined that the Agreement will enable the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries’ parliaments and their working bodies.
Đukić-Dejanović thanked for the support Denmark has been giving to Serbia in its efforts to join the EU.
Đukić-Dejanovićrecalled that Serbia and Denmark share a long history of diplomatic relations, which were first established in 1917.
The delegation will meet during the day with Prime Minister Mirko Cvetković and Interior Minister Ivica Dačić.
