Serbia interested in joining Belene NPP construction

Serbia is interested in joining the construction of Bulgaria’s second nuke plant of Belene as one of the investors in the project. This is said in a letter sent by Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic to Bulgarian counterpart Boyko Borisov, the government’s press office informs.

In his letter Cvetkovic expressed Serbian energy ministry’s wish to get introduced to the documents on the Belene NPP project and make it possible for the Serbian authorities to make final decision on the issue. At the order of Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism will send Serbian counterparts all the necessary information.
