KFOR troops to be reduced by 50%

NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said in Brussels on Monday that the number of KFOR soldiers troops in Kosovo would be reduced by 50% as of March 1.

Reducing the number of soldiers from the current 10,000 to 5,000 will be completed by March 12, Rasmussen announced, stressing that that would not affect the stability and security in Kosovo.
