Serbian FM met with RS President

Serbian foreign minister Jeremic met with the president of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, on Wednesday in Banja Luka, the capital of Bosnia’s predominantly Serb entity. Jeremic said that Serbia has a vital interest in the prosperity and stability of Republika Srpska, Bosnia-Herzegovina and the western Balkans.

Belgrade and Banja Luka share the same view on the future of Western Balkans, according to him.

He said that his meeting with Dodik focused on the upcoming meeting of the council for the agreement on special parallel ties between Serbia and Republika Srpska, RS, expected to be held in a few weeks in Belgrade.

“There are no differences in views on any issues between Belgrade and Banja Luka and they will work closely together in the future,” Jeremic added.

Dodik replied: “RS wants to foster its relations with Serbia within the framework of the Dayton Accord and EU practice and trends.”

The two also discussed the process of integration into the European Union; agrreing that both sides are ready to help each other reach this goal.
