Stefano Sannino visited Albania to discuss EU integration process

Stefano Sannino, the EU’s deputy director-general for external relations, began a two-day visit to Tirana on Wednesday (April 13th) to discuss the country’s European integration progress. Sannino participated in a meeting of the parliamentary commission for EU integration where the government’s action plan was presented, aimed at achieving the 12 objectives set by the European Commission. The end goal is to meet the objectives and win EU candidate status. On Thursday, Sannino will meet political parties and institutional leaders, including OSCE observers deployed for the May 8th local elections.
