UN Secretary General backs request for investigation on organ trade in Kosovo

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon has sent Serbia’s request for investigation on the allegations for illegal human organ trafficking in Kosovo to the UN Security Council.

According to the media, this means that Ban Ki-Moon backs the launching of an independent investigation.

“I would like to take advantage of the opportunity and to express my support for a thorough, unbiased and independent investigation on human organ trafficking in Kosovo. The UN will fully cooperate to the investigation in case it is started,” reads the letter of the UN Secretary General.
