UN States failed to agree on who should lead Kosovo organ trafficking investigation

UN Security Council members have agreed that it is necessary to investigate claims of organ trafficking in Kosovo and Albania, but have failed to reach consensus on who should lead the probe.

The US, Britain, Germany and France said during the Security Council session on Thursday that the EU mission in Kosovo, EULEX, has the capacity to conduct the investigation, Russia and China argue that the investigation should be conducted under a UN mandate.
