Nabucco agreement will be signed on June 6 in Turkey

An agreement on the realisation of the Nabucco gas pipeline project will be signed in Turkey on June 6, Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz announced. Yildiz remarked that the agreement is of great importance.

The document will be signed by OMV (Austria), BOTAS (Turkey), Bulgargaz (Bulgaria), Transgaz (Romania), Mol Natural Gas (Hungary) and RWE (Germany) companies.
The Turkish minister said that the project participants will try to get concrete reply from Azerbaijan about its participation in the project.

“If Azerbaijan’s answer is negative, then we will address Turkmenistan, Iraq and Iran. The project is of great importance for Turkey and for Europe,” Taner Yildiz remarked.
