European Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule said that it is possible for the European Commission (EC) to launch accession talks with several countries from the West Balkans by the end of the year.
Fule has confirmed that the countries in question are Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro.
“This year will be very important for all countries in the West Balkans. It is possible for them to get a recommendation for launching the accession talks according to their achievements and it is possible not only for one of them, but for two or three countries from the West Balkans,” Fule remarked.
