In July, Serbian president Boris Tadic will pay his first official state visit to Bosnia since the end of the bloody 1992-95 Yugoslav wars. Although Tadic has visited Bosnia already, those trips were not described as state visits.
During this upcoming state visit to his native town Sarajevo, Tadic plans to meet Bosnia’s three-man presidency to discuss bilateral relations and accession into the European Union, which both countries aspire to join.
The state visit follows Tadic’s April meeting with the Bosnian presidency in Serbia and comes during Bosnia’s most severe post-war crisis.
