Turkish President ends visit to Bulgaria

Turkish President Abdullah Gül ended his official three-day visit to Bulgaria on Tuesday with a visit to Shumen, a Bulgarian city home to a large Turkish community.

In what was the culmination of his visit to Bulgaria, President Gül visited Shumen, where he attended a lunch organized in his honor by the mayor of Shumen, Krasimir Kostov, shortly before visiting the Sherif Halil Pasha Tombul Mosque, the Nazım Hikmet Culture Center and a number of historical and cultural sites.

Gül was accompanied by a large delegation, which included his wife, Hayrunnisa Gül, Turkish Ambassador to Bulgaria İsmail Aramaz, Turkish deputies, academics and journalists.
