Romania is pleading for clear European prospects for the Republic of Moldova, Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Baconschi said in a news conference held in Bucharest to mark the taking over by Poland of the presidency of the Council of the European Union.
“We anticipate a Summit of the Eastern Partnership aimed at achieving results, which will decisively contribute to building an ambitious approach as regards the EU’s eastern neighborhood. Such an approach is in agreement with Poland’s and Romania’s stance that the countries that are ready and able to make progress in implementing reforms, like Moldova, must enjoy clear prospects,” said Teodor Baconschi.
