Hague Tribunal war crimes indictee Goran Hadžić’s initial appearance before the court has been scheduled for 04:00 CET on Monday, July 25.
His deputy, the South Korean O-Gon Kwon, has appointed himself as the pre-trial judge. He will ask Hadžić about the accommodation at the detention unit and his health.
After this, Hadžić will be asked to enter his plea. The indictment accuses him of crimes against humanity and violations of the laws and customs of war.
If the former political leader of Serbs in Croatia refuses to state his plea, the judge will enter a not guilty plea in his name, according to Hague regulations.
